About Me
My name is Caitlyn Bockbrader and my high school experience has been shaped by many teachers who have inspired me to push myself in all aspects of my life. Ever since freshman year, I have played trumpet in marching band in the fall, and in concert band through the whole year. Being in the music program has allowed me to find some of my best friends, and create lasting memories at our performances as well as our daily practices. I also enjoy many clubs at Bradley like GSA where I get to lead educational events, and math club where me and my friends get to hang out and brainstorm creative solutions to challenging problems. I am also a member of the Hilliard Ethics Bowl club where we have discussions on moral dilemmas and present our stance on them in competition once a year. Outside of school I have continued my personal music education by taking piano lessons for the past 12 years, and I love to unwind by playing old pieces or learning new ones. I also spend a lot of time walking my dog, and taking care of my vegetable garden.
My Project
For my Capstone experience, I decided to start teaching piano lessons as a student teacher for my own instructor's studio. I have had a passion for the instrument as long as I can remember, and I wanted to share my love for it with new students. I was able to accomplish this with the help of my instructor who helped to share my information and find me six students who I have been teaching since February.
